hello all, I just built an XIM adapter for my PS3 with the ToolStick, PS2 cable and YOBO. I followed the instructions posted on the blog page to solder, used a multimeter to test to make sure the colors were right and all. Flashed the toolstick with the flash utility. XIM.exe seems to detect the hardware when it's connected to the PS3 and shows me ~62-64 updates/sec. My problem is I cannot seem to figure out how to activate it. Not in XMB or in game. I try Up+Backspace (which registers as Back on the software), Up+Tab to no avail. I tried plugging it in to both USB slots, tried with my PS3 controller on/off and reassigned to 2. Nothing seems to work. I am running Windows 7 x64 (with driver signature enforcement disabled). I also tried on Windows 7 32-bit and Windows XP in VirtualBox. My PS3 is the Slim if that counts, running latest software, and I mainly want to try this in MW2. Wondering if there's anything I'm missing. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I think ive read somewhere that you have to turn on your ps3 with the button on the console and not the controller and THEN plug it in

Does your currently active config use the up or backspace keys? If so then make a config that doesn't use either, load that then with your controller on as #1 hold up and press backspace a few times till you see it come up, then you can press ctrl+enter to change to you other config you can then reassign your controller to #2 (you can do it any time after getting up+backspace to work, doesn't matter).

i have exaclty the same problem.

xim software is working, showing around 58 update with yobo, but impossible to let the ps3 register my M/KB

EDIT: fixed, soldering wasnt good enough
