My XIM/Adapter had the problem of repeditly pressing the PS button.  Found a solution for Slim model PS3's, the Fats I could not get to stop. 

Pluging in a PS2/PS1 controler after you connect the XIM.  Move left/right with the PS2/PS1 controler then replug in the XIM.

I do not know why the Fats are different but there you go, some adapters will not work on Fats.

What adapter are you using? I've heard nothing but good things about yobo adapters and they are really cheap. There is no reason to even try an adapter that isn't a yobo.

It wasn't a Yobo but it was what my brother had and was free.  Free is infinitly cheaper then cheap

When I get back home will post the adapter name.

I have the same problem. Venom adapter, but only 32 refresh.
Unfortunately  it didn`t work for me on fat ps3

I got different adapter then the one I had ordered, but looked like any other tested here and it was Venom too - couldn`t wait any longer, so didn`t bother with return  

Well... think, I`ll get Logic3 instead.

I live in UK. Anyway, Logic3 is reported to work fine on xim.

amazon UK has it last I checked. get the yobo. seriously. don't f--- with it.
yobo is an absolute known good unit with high update rate....

I really would get it, but they don`t have it. I`ve got some new revision of Venom, other than description - yet to be seen, is it working or not. I think, Logic3 would be most safe bet for me atm, since it has been reported as a working one.
