The problem wasn't lag.  It was actually rather lag free for Sikpup and I.
The problem is that there are random disconnects caused by the adapter, which means you'd have to reset your connection (unplug it and plug it back in).

Sikpup is upset because the problem happens every few minutes for him and the XCM support forum mod would rather ban/delete complainers than be responsible for providing actual support.  The problem doesn't happen too often with me (takes hours), but I'm still upset because I've been a third party witness to XCM's poor QA practices for their shoddy products and supportless support.

XCM claims that it's the console versions, but we don't know which ones since they haven't tested them  Angry.  I have a 80GB PS3, the one that came with motorstorm purchased about a year after PS3 launch.  Sikpup if I remember correctly (correct me if I'm wrong) two 60GB systems (launch?).

Was their lag created by the adapter? Did anyone get it to work?  If so when was the concole bought?  Was the concol an early model?
As far as I know, only cameltoe had some form of lag.  Both Lejes and I had a great experience with the cross battle adapter + Xim360, with the exception of mine disconnecting randomly.  This issue is being fixed right now and a new version is shipping soon.  I have not heard from cameltoe so I do not know if he sent his back... i certainly would have.

I actually have a 60gb and an 80gb.  It did it on both.  The 80gb is only a month old.  I am still skeptical.  XCM sux.  This cannot be denied.  Unfortunately they also are the only ones that make a device that allows me to enjoy the awesomeness of my xim2 on the ps3.  End result: I will put up with XCM as long as it will allow me to use my xim2 on my ps3.

You would think there would be a problem with updates per second because the Sniper suffered the same fate.  I wish I knew how all this stuff works.  Surely it would be easier to make XIM2 work on the PS3 without the need for XCM.  Is it possible to crack the XIM360 open and solder a PS3 controller to the FLEX?

I know you shouldn't buy a console just for one game but I'm seriously considering getting ps3 for killzone 2...it looks awesome...and I hear in a couple of months they are going to do a cheaper bundle deal of console and killzone 2 game....put that together with being able to use xim360 with it is almost erotic

Resistance 2, Metal Gear Solid 6 4, and Demon's Souls are pushing me down that road. I suppose I could also find a use for the PS3's ability to play VOB files.

My ps3's have become my movie centers...  I have like 30 vobs between the two of them.  My 80gb is paired with my psp and I watch movies anywhere I have an internet connection.  It is nice.

These guys seem good.  http://www.totalconsole.com/servlet/the-956/XCM-Cross-Battle-Adapter/Detail

That's where I got my original XBA.  And it came pretty quick considering I was an international order.

Or if there is lag?  I aint buying this thing if there is lag, I will just use XIM1.  I can't imagine that there is no lag with this thing being that the sniper suffered the same problem.  Would XIM2 report back, on screen, a slower updates per second, if threre was an issue?  Kinda like XIM1 did.

I've held off selling my PS3 for the same reason... one game. Killzone 2. That was, of course, until I tried the demo. The controller really ruins that game. And so far there hasn't been a lot of success using the xim/xim360. It's hard finding a good config for it.

There is no lag from the unit.  I don't know what cameltoe was experiencing, but I can tell you there is 0 lag. Zero.  When mine was working (not disconnecting) it worked exactly the same as if my xim2 was plugged into my 360.  I have cod4 and 5 on both systems, and I saw ABSOLUTELY no difference whatsoever from one machine to the next.  If the XBA plus truly fixes the disconnect issue, then the unit was worth every penny imho.

Well I ordered an XCM plus.  Hopefully the thing works as advertised.
