Well, it looks like XCM will be releasing an updated version of their product (surprise, surprise).
It's a shame that that a firmware update (as TeamXCM suggested) will probably not be possible.
I hope the retailer I got mine from (TotalConsole) will honour the exchange even though I don't have the original packaging or receipt anymore. Actually, I'm on the fence as to whether I'll even bother since the problem isn't very prevailant with me.

You know, the more I think about it, the more it really bothers me... Particularly this part:
they do not send out thousands of units for beta testing, they do in house beta testing which is limited to the equipment they have on hand.
So they release a product on platforms without testing that it works on them?!? Are you kidding me?!?
Sikpup, you do realize that therefore you and I ARE the beta testers here, right? Not to mention Cameltoe, who couldn't get it working to any benefit. I suspect our cheques got lost in the mail.
Anyway, please continue keeping these boards up to date with the news.
